Janus Gate

Story: 
The world is a peaceful place, like any you would imagine, set in a medieval fantasy world. Where wars almost never happen, and even then, they should be named more as skirmishes than wars. 

The ‘Janus gate’ is an ancient door to its namesake god. This door in legends can decide whether peace or war reigns depending on if it’s open or closed. As the legends say, Janus is the god of boundaries and beginnings. In times of peace, his gates remain shut, and when they open, war begins anew.  But, in this world, war does not pertain to only the human realm, because ‘Malcom’s world is seen by the gods as the realm of peace. Where's beyond the gate, isn’t the realm of the gods, or a place of magic power that can change it. But a realm that by its nature, is always at war.   A realm where creatures of all shapes and sizes fight each other every day for wealth, power and Resorces.   

They hire ‘Malcom’ to protect the gate from the creature’s advance, to keep it closed till the creatures stop attacking the gate, so peace may continue and war never come.
